πŸ’³ Subscriptions & Billing

All subscriptions are managed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) β€” not by us. To cancel:

  • iPhone/iPad: Open Settings β†’ [Your Name] β†’ Subscriptions β†’ find the app β†’ Cancel Subscription
  • Android: Open Google Play β†’ tap your profile icon β†’ Payments & subscriptions β†’ Subscriptions β†’ find the app β†’ Cancel

You can continue using Pro features until the end of your current billing period. We do not have the ability to cancel subscriptions on your behalf.

Refunds are processed by Apple or Google, not by us. To request a refund:

Apple and Google typically approve refunds for purchases within 48 hours. For technical issues causing the refund request, email us first β€” we may be able to fix the problem quickly.

This can happen if the purchase verification hasn't synced yet. Try these steps in order:

  • Close and reopen the app
  • Go to Settings within the app β†’ tap "Restore Purchases"
  • Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID or Google account used for purchase
  • Force-close the app and reopen after 60 seconds

If the issue persists after 15 minutes, email us at support@ariseaboveapps.com with your order number (found in your purchase confirmation email).

Yes β€” as long as you're signed into the same Apple ID (iPhone/iPad) or Google account (Android), you can restore your Pro purchase on any compatible device. Each app is purchased and restored separately.

Note: Because data is stored locally on each device, your app data does not sync between devices automatically. Use the app's JSON export/import feature to transfer data between devices.

Some Arise Above Apps offer a one-time "Lifetime" purchase option in addition to monthly and yearly subscriptions. A lifetime purchase gives you permanent access to all Pro features with no ongoing payments.

Not all apps offer a lifetime tier. Check each app's Settings or upgrade screen for available options. Lifetime purchases cover all future updates to that app.

πŸ€– AI Features

Arise Above Apps uses the Anthropic Claude API to power AI features. Rather than routing your data through our servers (which would raise privacy concerns), the app calls Anthropic's API directly from your device.

To use AI features, you need a free or paid Anthropic account and API key:

  • Visit console.anthropic.com
  • Create a free account
  • Generate an API key in the "API Keys" section
  • Paste the key into the app's Settings β†’ AI Configuration

Anthropic offers free credits for new accounts. The claude-haiku model used by our apps is very low-cost (typically fractions of a cent per request).

Common causes and fixes:

  • Invalid API key: Double-check the key in Settings. Keys start with "sk-ant-". Ensure there are no extra spaces when pasting.
  • No credits: Visit console.anthropic.com to check your credit balance. Add a payment method for continued access.
  • No internet connection: AI features require an active internet connection. All other app features work offline.
  • Rate limit: If you've sent many requests quickly, wait 60 seconds and try again.

If none of these resolve the issue, email us at support@ariseaboveapps.com with the app name and a description of the error message.

Only the data you intentionally include in an AI request is sent to Anthropic's servers. Each app shows you a preview of what context will be included before you send. Examples:

  • AriseBudget AI Advisor: sends your budget category totals (not full transaction history)
  • AriseHabits AI Coach: sends your habit list and recent streak counts
  • AriseVitals AI Advisor: sends your recent readings you've logged

Your name, email, and any identifying information are never sent. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

πŸ”’ Data, Privacy & Backup

All your data is stored locally on your device. We do not have servers that store your personal app data. This means:

  • Your data is private by default β€” we cannot access it
  • The app works fully offline with no data connection
  • Deleting the app removes all data
  • Data does not sync between devices automatically

Most Pro-tier apps include a JSON export/backup feature. To back up:

  • Open the app β†’ Settings β†’ Export / Backup Data
  • Save the JSON file to your Files app, iCloud Drive, or Google Drive
  • To restore, use Settings β†’ Import / Restore from Backup and select your saved file

We recommend backing up before any major iOS/Android update or when switching devices.

Since data is stored locally, here's the recommended transfer process:

  • Step 1: On your old phone, open the app β†’ Settings β†’ Export / Backup Data β†’ save the JSON file to iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or email it to yourself
  • Step 2: On your new phone, download the app (and restore your Pro purchase if applicable)
  • Step 3: Open the app β†’ Settings β†’ Import / Restore from Backup β†’ select your saved file

If you used iPhone Backup or Google Backup to restore your new phone, some apps may have their data restored automatically. Try opening the app first before importing manually.

To delete all data for a specific app:

  • Open the app β†’ Settings β†’ Clear All Data (available in most apps)
  • Or, delete the app from your device β€” this removes all associated data

Since we don't hold your data on our servers, there's nothing to request from us. Deleting the app is the complete deletion.

βš™οΈ Technical Troubleshooting

In order, try these steps:

  • Force-close the app and reopen it
  • Restart your device
  • Check for app updates in the App Store or Google Play
  • Check that your device OS is up to date (iOS 16+ or Android 10+ recommended)
  • If the issue only happens after a specific action, note exactly what you were doing and email us

Chart rendering issues are usually resolved by:

  • Closing and reopening the app
  • Ensuring you have at least a few data points entered (charts require data to render)
  • Updating to the latest version of the app
  • On older devices, some complex chart animations may be slower β€” this is normal

If charts are consistently blank despite having data entered, email us with a screenshot at support@ariseaboveapps.com.

To enable notifications:

  • iPhone: Settings β†’ Notifications β†’ [App Name] β†’ Allow Notifications β†’ On
  • Android: Settings β†’ Apps β†’ [App Name] β†’ Notifications β†’ Enable

Also check within the app's Settings that reminders are enabled and configured correctly. Note: the app must have been opened at least once after a reminder was set for it to register with the OS.

All Arise Above Apps require:

  • iPhone/iPad: iOS 16.0 or later
  • Android: Android 10 (API level 29) or later

We recommend using the latest iOS or Android version for the best experience and security.

If your envelopes reset unexpectedly, check Settings β†’ Budget Period to confirm your period is set correctly. If you reinstalled the app, use Settings β†’ Restore from Backup to recover saved budgets. The Contractor Hub requires a Pro subscription to access job income tracking.

🌸 Arise Women's Health

If cycle predictions seem off, ensure your average cycle length is set accurately in Settings. Predictions require at least 2 complete logged cycles for maximum accuracy. The PCOS mode and perimenopause mode are Pro-tier features accessible after upgrading.

🌍 Language Bites AI

Spanish is the only language available in the free tier. French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, and Italian require a Pro subscription. If your progress resets, ensure you're not clearing app storage in your device settings β€” this erases localStorage. Use the export feature regularly to back up vocabulary progress.

🏠 Arise RE Analyzer

The 203K Analyzer (FHA Streamlined and Standard) is a Pro feature. If mortgage calculations seem off, double-check that you've entered the correct interest rate as a percentage (e.g., enter 7.25 for 7.25%, not 0.0725). The Detroit Renovation Estimator uses Metro Detroit cost averages β€” adjust for your market as needed.

πŸŽ–οΈ VetPathPro

The VA disability calculator uses official VA "whole-person" math. Results are estimates and should be verified with a VSO (Veterans Service Organization) or VA representative. The app does not have access to your actual VA records β€” you enter your current ratings manually. For official VA claims assistance, contact the VA at 1-800-827-1000 or va.gov.

No. None of the Arise Above Apps require you to create an account. Download the app, open it, and start using it immediately. No email, no password, no sign-up form.

If you purchase a Pro subscription, it's linked to your Apple ID or Google account β€” not an Arise Above account.

Yes. All apps are designed to be responsive and work on both phones and tablets. On iPad, apps will display in an expanded layout for better use of screen space. On Android tablets running Android 10+, apps scale to the available display area.

We push updates as needed β€” typically when we add new features, fix bugs, or improve AI functionality. Updates are delivered through the App Store and Google Play. We recommend keeping auto-updates enabled for the best experience.

Update notes appear in the App Store / Play Store listing for each app. Major feature additions are noted in the app's Settings β†’ About screen.
